Final Disney - Magic Kingdom

Kemper waiting for the Opening Show to begin.

Our final day of our Walt Disney World vacation was spent at the Magic Kingdom.  The weather was supposed to be much nicer than our other Magic Kingdom day albeit a bit chilly.  We wore our sweatshirts and coats most of the day but had a blast (and it was a thousand times better than getting wet or sweating to death!).

We made it in time to catch the train roll up with all of the characters and to see Mickey officially open the park again!

"Good morning, Good morning!  Ain't it great to stay up late, good morning, good morning, to you!"

Fairy Godmother, Peter Pan, Snow White, Marie (Aristocats), Pluto

Mickey!

Tiana, Chip & Dale

Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, Stitch

Official park opening!

Our first stop was Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin...we rode twice again.  Kemper loves that ride!  After Buzz, MeMe and I headed over to Space Mountain.  Neither of us really enjoyed the ride.  It was super jerky and I am just not a fan of being in the dark on a roller coaster.  The few moments I was able to kind of see, I could see just how tightly packed the tracks were and for the rest of the ride I think I ducked my head because it felt like another car would scrape the top of my head.  Glad we rode it with very little wait!

At that point, Hudson and I headed over to the Baby Care center so that I could nurse him and attempt to get him to sleep.  MeMe, Pops and Kemper rode the Barnstormer and I met them back at the Tomorrowland Speedway.  Pops was the brave one who rode with Kemper.  Since he couldn't quite reach the pedals, Pops worked the pedals and Kemper steered.

When the guys were done at the speedway, Kemper and I rode the teacups!  Kemper really enjoyed spinning so we spun and spun until we were dizzy!

After the teacups, we noticed that Alice in Wonderland had a pretty short line so we hopped in to meet her!  MeMe had been wanting to meet a princess but so far Kemper had protested but this time he seemed ok with the idea (she's not really a princess I suppose).  When he walked up to her, she noticed his ears and was very concerned and asked if he was a mouse.  He thought that was hilarious and silly.  :)

MeMe, Alice in Wonderland and Kemper.

We decided to leave Fantasyland at this point so we could be sure to see more of the Magic Kingdom.  We walked by the Winnie the Pooh ride and the Peter Pan ride but Kemper was completely fine with not riding them because he had ridden them the first day we were there.  We were hoping to ride It's a Small World but there was a pretty long wait so we pushed on.  We walked through Liberty Square and into Frontierland.

We saw Chip & Dale and Kemper wanted another signature in his book.  I waited in line with him while MeMe and Pops took Hudson in the stroller to scope out Pecos Bill's for lunch.  After we got the signatures, we met up with them and had lunch.  It was pretty good - Hudson really enjoyed the Uncrustable PB&J based on the amount of clean up we had to do when he was done!

Kemper ran right up to Jessie for a hug!

I had convinced Kemper to ride Big Thunder Mountail Railroad so after lunch, we walked that way to pick up some Fast Passes.  Once we had those, we were going to take a ride on the train but noticed that Jessie was out meeting guests so we hopped in line to get her signature.  When we were about 5 away from the front of the line, she needed to take a break and when she came back, Woody was with her!  Kemper was excited but scared that Woody wouldn't sign his book since he had already signed it at Hollywood Studios.  I assured him that Woody would still sign his book and all was well again.

Hugs for Woody, too!

Jessie came right over to Hudson and got down to play with him.  He was LOVING her!  He laughed and giggled the whole time!  MeMe said that Kemper looked a little miffed that Jessie was paying so much attention to Hudson but when Woody was done signing Kemper's book, he came over to Hudson and Jessie went to "play" with Kemper and that perked him up!

This is one of my favorite pictures from our character encounters!

Hudson was excited to ride the train!  We had a nice ride around Disney World and then it was our turn to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  I may have fibbed a little to Kemper in telling him that it didn't go any faster than Goofy's Barnstormer and he was fine in line until we got to where he could see the carts loading.  We were able to fit all three of us in one row so he was firmly squished in between MeMe and Mommy and held onto our hands.  Once the ride got going, he really enjoyed it and even let out a few "woohoos!" along the way!  He did tell me when we got off that he thought it went a little faster than that other one. :)  I told him I was so glad he liked it and was brave!

We made our way towards the front of the park via Adventureland and had a Dole Whip along the way.  It was ok, not quite as great as all of the hype made it out to be.  I had a few bites then let Kemper have the rest while Hudson and I made our second trip to the baby care center in hopes of getting him to sleep.  MeMe, Pops and Kemper were waiting for us outside.  Kemper was playing with some ducks and we were in a perfect spot for a picture with Cinderella Castle!

We found a spot for the afternoon parade (Celebrate a Dream Come True) and people watched while we waited.  We got to see lots of characters in this parade but Kemper still enjoyed the Pixar Pals (which they have apparently cancelled as of April 6) the best!

Mickey and Minnie

Pinocchio

Aladdin

Peter Pan (one of Kemper's favorites)

Bert and Mary Poppins!  (One of Mommy's favorites!)

Cinderella (I missed getting pictures of most of the princesses)

The Fairy Godmother

After the parade we walked back to Tomorrowland where Kemper and I rode the Astro Orbiter.  He really enjoyed being up on top of the building and going really high!  He thought it was especially cool that you had to take an elevator up to the ride.  We were going to take a ride on the People Mover but the line was CRAZY long so we went to the Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor instead. While we were waiting in line I noticed that you could text in your favorite joke and it could be used during the show so I sent one of Kemper's favorite jokes.  To our surprise, they used his joke during the show!  I wish I had a picture of the look on his face when he heard his name..."And this joke comes from Kemper in Clarksville, Tennessee.  Why did the chicken cross the playground?  To get to the other SLIDE!"  He looked stunned!  We all really enjoyed the Laugh Floor - very funny!!

At this point, we were all starting to get tired and hungry.  We decided to head over to Downtown Disney for dinner and then back to the room to pack up so we wouldn't be up late packing.

After dinner at Fulton's, we went over to Goofy's Candy Company to use up our leftover snack credits.

Here is Kemper with his Mickey shaped rice krispie treat dipped in white chocolate, rolled in mini M&Ms and drizzled with milk chocolate.  It took him 3 days to eat this and we still threw away a good chunk.  We had quite a few snack credits leftover so we got some fudge, chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes and suckers.

We made it back to the room, got Hudson in the bed and started to pack up.  Our plan was to head out as soon as we got up in the morning so we wanted to have as much packed as possible.
